Firewall insulation sits behind the visible parts of the cabin, but it has a direct effect on comfort. By separating the passenger area from engine heat and noise, it gives the interior a more refined feel once the dash, carpet, and lower trim are installed.

This is one of the smartest places to start before the floor and dashboard go back together. Firewall insulation also pairs well with underdash insulation, carpet, and kick panels and insulation for a more complete cabin foundation.
